As the famous saying goes - "Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there", Formspring.me that lets you and your friends ask questions and give answers is on the right track to become the most used social website, but it can go nowhere if it lacks social features and so, it has decided to come out of its own cocoon by providing the feature to share your answers and tell your friends what you think on popular social networks like Facebook and also on Twitter with the click of a button.

To start sharing your answers on Facebook and Twitter, first link your formspring.me account with your Facebook and connect Formspring.me application to your twitter account and then while you're answering the questions, just with the click of your mouse you can choose on which platforms you would want to share your answers.

Properties of Determinants:-

1. Determinant of a matrix is same as the determinant of its transpose.


2. If two rows or columns of a determinant are interchanged the determinant changes its sign.


3. If the elements of a row (column) of a determinant are multiplied by a constant K, then the determinant will be multiplied by the same constant. For example,

6. If the elements of a row (column) of a determinant are sums of two elements then the determinant can be expressed as the sum of two determinants. That is for example,

9. Sum of the products of the elements of a row in a square matrix and the co-factors of the corresponding elements of some other row (column) is zero.

To measure the 3-φ power in a balanced circuit, the method or main apparatus used here are 2 CT's and one Wattmeter. The details of the apparatus required for this measurement are as follow:

1. Wattmeter 600V, 10A, UPF -> 1 no.


2. Ammeter (0-10)A MI -> 1 no.


3. Voltmeter (0-600)V MI -> 1 no.


4. Current Transformer (CT) 5/5A -> 2 no.

In this method the power absorbed in a 3-φ balanced circuit is measured using a single wattmeter in conjunction with 2 CT's. Usually 2-Wattmeter method is used measure the 3-φ power for both balanced and unbalanced load, but method like this requires only one wattmeter. The CT's used for this method should be of 1:1 ratio.

The primaries are connected in series with the 2 phases. The secondaries are connected to the current coil of wattmeter such that the difference in the two phase currents will flow through the current coil. The wattmeter pressure coil is connected between the same two phases.

Any wattmeter measures the product of

• Voltage across pressure coil
  


• Current through the current coil
  

Cosine of phase angle between voltage and current is φ.

The circuit is assumed to be connected in star, for delta connection also the procedure is valid and the wattmeter reads directly total power absorbed.

Procedure

1. Give the connections as per the circuit diagram.


2. Apply 415 V, 3-φ, 50Hz supply closing the TPST switch.


3. Vary the load in suitable steps.


4. At each load note down the wattmeter readings.


5. Tabulate the results. Expected example tabulated results are as follows:

Google has recently launched a new feature that grants you the freedom to customize the Google homepage by selecting your own image or photo to appear as the background. Some find this new innovation akin to a refreshing fount and for some others it's a Chinese water torture as they would love to use the Classic Google homepage which has a clean, uncluttered look and is fast to load.

As Google has already dived in this feature, there should be no looking back in-spite of some slating comments. All they can do is make the next version better, implementing some new ideas recommended by users. Using this new feature users can select a background image from their PC's, Picasa Web photos, Google public gallery or from Editor's pics.

Here's how you can change background image for your Google homepage:

• Sign-in to your Google Account and in the bottom left corner of the Google homepage, you can see the link to Change background image. Click on it and see what shows up.


• From the left pane of the pop-up window that show up, choose the location from where you want to select your background image. As mentioned earlier, you have option to choose from your Picasa Web photos, your computer, Google public gallery or from Editor's pics that consists of a set of Google recommended images.
  


• After choosing your image, click Select and voila, your new Google homepage background is live!
  

To remove your new background image and revert back to Classic homepage, just click the link that says 'Remove background image' in the bottom left corner of the homepage and it turns into 'Change background image' taking you back to the default homepage background.

To speed up the user experience on this whole process, it would have been tad better if Google allowed users to change the background image without first having to remove the current one and also provided a separate button to 'Disable background image' which now appears only after the background image has been set. Whatdayathink?
