This new killer swine flu virus is a never-before-seen virus in human beings that can cause a serious situation with "pandemic potential." Basically Swine flu is a respiratory disease that infects pigs due to type A influenza virus that don't have the potential to spread from pigs to human beings in normal conditions. But to the worse side of it, WHO has announced the strain has reached Phase-4 which means the virus can transmit not only from pigs to people but also from person to person. The main reason which can make virus spread easily between humans is the little natural immunity against this new virus.

As the roots of this virus are found in Swine population, people who work with swine and poultry, especially people with intense exposures, are at risk of infection from these animals if the animals carry a strain that can infect humans.

Symptoms of Swine Flu

Most of the symptoms are similar to that of a regular seasonal flu that includes fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. Some people have also reported diarrhea and vomiting associated with swine flu.

Preventive Measures for Swine Flu

As prevention is better that cure, let us know the possible precaution and preventive measure that can be taken to make sure not to get effected by this natural bio-terrorist.

1. As there are chances of spreading this Flu viruses when people with influenza cough or sneeze, everyone should make a special effort to avoid contact with potential virus carriers.



2. Those who travel abroad have to be alert about the epidemic situation. Especially those who travel to California, Kansas, New York, Ohio and Texas have to be very cautions avoiding crowded groups because confirmed human cases of the swine flu virus are found in these cities.



3. Cover your mouth and nose with tissues when you sneeze or cough and dispose them properly. Practice good personal hygiene and make sure you use surgical masks and gloves and other sanitary products when you are stepping out of your home.



4. Better stay at home if you are sick and take the advice of your physician if illness continues.

1. Goto Start-->Run... and type regedit and click OK.


2. From the Registry Editor window that pops-up navigate and click on the following subkey

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\UsbStor

3. From the right pane, right-click on Start and select modify. Then change the value data from 3(default) to 4 in hexadecimal mode.

4. Close the Registry editor and restart.

That's it!! USB port access is disabled.
To enable again just change the value data to the default value 3.

With this simple tweak you can automatically redirect any website to your desired location. This can be a nice little trick when used as a parental control to redirect porn sites to your desired ones.

Here is how you can do it:

1. Goto Start-->Run... and type    %windir%\system32\drivers\etc


2. From the windows that pops up, find a file named hosts and open it with notepad

3. For example, if you want to redirect blogger.com to bloggersbase.com
(yah I mean it coz bloggersbase is gonna be the next blogger) type below syntax to the last line of the file and save it.

64.225.152.244     blogger.com     #redirect blogger to bloggersbase

In the above syntax 64.225.152.244 is the IP of bloggersbase.
So this is the place to give the IP of the website to which the url entered next has to be redirected. Maintain atleast one space between them.
Also you can add your comments to the line with a "#" symbol before the comment.
Better use this comment section to denote where you have redirected any site for future reference.

Now, when you type blogger.com in your browser address bar you will be taken to bloggersbase. Hope you will be amazed with the happenings.

This can also be used as a dirty little trick on your friends PC, to redirect him to your site when he tries to visit famous sites like Facebook or twitter.

And if you want to remove the redirection just delete the line you have added and save.

Here is how you can find the IP address of any web site:

Go to Start-->Run.. and type cmd or command and click OK which open the Command Prompt Window(DOS).

Now, to know IP address of bloggersbase.com enter the following command

ping bloggersbase.com

This will return a result similar to the following that contains the IP address:

With just few click you can add or change your current Persona. You can not only choose from hundreds of Personas available but also create you own Persona and share it with others. Just create and upload two graphics files not exceeding 300KB in your favorite graphics editing application (e.g., Photoshop) for the header or the footer image and use it straight away.

To add Personas to your Firefox go to http://www.getpersonas.com/ and click on the 'Get Personas for firefox- free' download button which installs this wonderful add-on to your browser. After installation you will have to restart firefox to choose and change your Persona.
